The China-Africa co-produced documentary Kung Fu Dream has begun its international release, marking its first broadcast on African soil as part of a wider push to bring the film to audiences across China, Africa, and beyond.

On August 1, 2026, in Yaoundé, within the Ahala district at the Big Bang JKD Academy, a major event organized by the Cameroonian Federation of Kung-Fu Jeet Kune Do and Affiliated Disciplines (FECAKUJEDA) was held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This initiative was methodically driven by its President, Dr-Sifu Rodrigue TALING.

A landmark documentary chronicling one Cameroonian man’s journey from provincial martial arts halls to the heart of Chinese kung fu culture has cleared its final regulatory hurdle in China and is now poised for release in Chinese cinemas, in Cameroon, and worldwide.
