United States: Rapper Kanye West accused of sexual assault by former assistant

The victim, who worked for Kanye West between 2021 and 2022, claims the rapper sexually assaulted her at a hotel. On another occasion, he allegedly served her a drink laced with “an unidentified drug” during a studio recording session that P Diddy was also present at.

American rapper Kanye West is accused of sexual assault and chemical submission by a former assistant who worked for the artist from 2021 to 2022, reports the media outlet People , which claims in an article published Saturday, October 12, to have had access to the complaint filed by the victim Tuesday in Los Angeles.

Accordi states.ng to the document, the woman accuses the rapper of assaulting her when she was his assistant in July 2021 at a hotel in San Francisco. He allegedly insisted on going back to her room around 6 a.m. to take a shower because his was out of order, according to him. As he got out of the shower, he allegedly “dropped his towel” before trying to “stick” himself, naked, against her, while “sticking his penis to her face” while the victim begged him to stop, the complaint

In parallel, several years before Kanye West hired her, this plaintiff was allegedly drugged on an unspecified date during a studio recording session in Santa Monica, California, to which she was invited. The recording session was co-organized by rapper and producer Sean Combs, known as P Diddy and currently in custody in connection with charges of human trafficking and sexual assault . The latter is not targeted by the complaints of Kanye West’s assistant.

At the event, “drinks were served to other people present, and then it was announced that everyone had to drink if they wanted to stay,” the complaint states.

After she began drinking her drink, the complainant said she felt disoriented “after just a few sips.” She then gradually lost control of her body and does not remember the rest of the evening. She woke up the next day feeling “sick and confused.”

A few years later, when they had started working together, the rapper allegedly mentioned the night and claimed that he and the victim “kind of had sex once.” She allegedly responded that she had no memory of it, to which Kanye West laughingly replied, “Women love to say they don’t remember.”

“Until this precise moment, just before this conversation, the complainant was not aware that she had been the victim of gender-based and sexual violence,” the complaint states.

Unprecedented accusations

People reports that the two accusations are part of a legal filing by the plaintiff in a previous wrongful termination lawsuit filed against the rapper after she worked with him in 2021 on a women’s clothing line for his Yeezy brand and on his album Donda .

In this case, this woman already accused Kanye West of sexual harassment (sending pornographic photos, videos and calls, as well as messages evoking sexual acts). But the revelations of accusations of sexual assault published by People are unprecedented.

Kanye West’s legal counsel did not respond to People’s request for comment. Regarding the previous allegations of sexual harassment, a lawyer for the rapper denied the allegations and said the artist planned to file a lawsuit against the complainant himself.
